APPLICATIONS FOR CORPORATE PERMITS
APPLYING FOR A PODIATRIC CORPORATION PERMIT
There are two main steps to obtaining a corporate permit.
1. Create a corporation through the Registrar of Companies.
The Registrar of Companies will require the College’s consent to a corporate name before allowing a corporation to be registered. An application for name approval in Form 10 must first be submitted to the College. The rules relating to the acceptable forms of name are set out in the College Bylaws. See incorporation info.
2. Submit permit application and fee to the College.
Once a corporate name is approved and a corporation formed, file the necessary forms and fee to obtain a permit for the podiatric corporation from the College. The permit application in Form 8, the permit application fee, copy of the certificate of incorporation issued by the corporate registry, and Forms 9 and 11 must be forwarded to the Registrar. See permit forms & info.
NOTE: The College’s fee for a permit application is $500 as of January 1, 2015.
